The Oyster 80 DS is a beautifully crafted yacht that blends the latest design technology with superb sailing performance. Designed for sailors who value both innovation and traditional ocean-going qualities, this yacht is built to last with strength, reliability, and excellent sea-keeping abilities.

Her hull and deck are constructed using durable GRP in cost-effective female molds, while nearly every other component is semi-custom, allowing for a personalized touch.

The Oyster’s bulb keel offers a low center of gravity, providing optimal stability and sailing performance, all while maintaining the ease of a moderate draft for cruising. Standard features include an efficient fully-battened mainsail, with an optional in-mast furling for added convenience in handling.

In light winds, the Oyster can reach impressive speeds on a 60-degree reach in just 10 knots of breeze, demonstrating its impressive light-wind performance and hinting at even greater speeds in stronger winds. On a passage from Hawaii to Alaska, Free Spirit covered over 2,000 miles in just four days, cruising comfortably in typical conditions.

On deck, the large cockpit comfortably seats up to 8 guests, all well-protected by a high backrest and cockpit coaming.
